The Association has hired Anderson & Company to manage the day to day business activities for the HOA. Please contact their office to report a complaint/issue, or if you have questions. Their contact info follows.
The Association rule qualifying a homeowner or renter to live in this community is that the primary resident’s age must be 55 years or older; any cohabitant’s age must be 45 years or older. We have been described as a nice little community with a clubhouse building that has a pool table, an indoor gym, saunas, pool, jacuzzi, kitchen, and a nice meeting area for activities like bingo, meals, book club, etc.
Meetings: PVHOA meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month, 6:00 p.m. at the clubhouse. CURRENTLY HELD ONLINE DUE TO COVID-19.
GOOD NEWS: PVHA clubhouse pool, gym and restrooms WILL BE OPEN ON JULY 6. Please review ALL county-mandated rules posted throughout the clubhouse.
We passed inspection and our plan for reducing the risk of spreading COVID-19 has been accepted. The county recommended we open on July 6, and we will follow that recommendation.
For information, Surf City Pool had to drain the pool and refill it in order to properly balance the required chemicals. That took two days. They also worked on the spa water, and will keep it properly maintained, but the county HAS MANDATED THAT PUBLIC SPAS CONTINUE TO BE CLOSED. It has been taped off and MUST NOT BE USED.
We have put up signs outlining the rules for using the pool area, the gym, and the restrooms. These must be followed or the county will order our facilities closed again. Among the requirements was that we remove chairs and tables from use around the pool. Please do not attempt to use them. You can bring your own chairs, but please take them home after each use.
We also have provided bottles of bleach water or disinfectant in all the bathrooms, the pool area, and the gym. Please use them on ANY SURFACE that you touch. There also are new soap dispensers in the bathrooms, and the paper-towel dispensers are full. Please wash your hands.
Our management company has announced that work on replacing the clubhouse roof, eaves, and gutters is expected to begin on Aug. 24, and should continue through Aug. 29. The PVHA board of directors selected Daddario Roofing for the job.
It’s expected that the clubhouse and pool area will be closed while the crew is working for everyone’s safety.
On Wednesday, June 24, the heavy light perched on a clubhouse beam over the pool deck was removed. The beam had deteriorated so badly that the light was in danger of falling, which, of course, would be extremely dangerous. It will be replaced with an LED light that not only will be brighter, but also will use less electricity.
Please note: Crews will be at the clubhouse on Monday, July 6, replacing the front windows.
